The LAMY dialog 3 is a pioneering fountain pen without a cap. A fascinating rotating mechanism allows the spring to slide elegantly out of the inside of the container while the clip is lowered onto the housing. 

The rotary fountain pen is ready to write. When the rotary fountain pen is closed, a ball valve is automatically pushed in front of the opening and protects the retracted nib from drying out and dirt. The clip rises and the fountain pen is ready to be inserted. Glossy white lacquer finish with twist mechanism and fully retractable, partially platinum-plated 14 kt gold nib.
